Artist's Description
This is a wonderful beach on Cape Cod Bay, just one of many town beaches that may be found on the Cape. This was taken in 2009. You can see that the cottage is well above the high tide line. Less than two years later it had to be moved due to the severe erosion caused by the greater frequency of strong storms that have been occurring.
About Michael Friedman
I have my father to thank for my lifelong interest in photography. Even today the smell of 'hypo' brings me back to our basement darkroom. My artistic side comes from my mother who always carried a sketch pad where ever she went. Several years after college we were experiencing a recession and I went back to school for a two year photography program, but shortly thereafter life's circumstances sent me in other directions. Only in the last few years, but now in the digital age, have I renewed my passion for the medium. As you will see, my main interest is in nature and landscape work, but I also have experience in interior and exterior architecture as well as studio and industrial applications.
