Artist's Description

The Quabbin Reservoir in western Massachusetts serves Boston and many of its suburbs 9o miles to the east. In addition to being a water supply the area has become a sanctuary for many kinds of wildlife including bald eagles. This view looks north to Mt. Monadnock in the neighboring state of New Hampshire.

About Michael Friedman

Michael Friedman

I have my father to thank for my lifelong interest in photography. Even today the smell of 'hypo' brings me back to our basement darkroom. My artistic side comes from my mother who always carried a sketch pad where ever she went. Several years after college we were experiencing a recession and I went back to school for a two year photography program, but shortly thereafter life's circumstances sent me in other directions. Only in the last few years, but now in the digital age, have I renewed my passion for the medium. As you will see, my main interest is in nature and landscape work, but I also have experience in interior and exterior architecture as well as studio and industrial applications.
