I have finally been able to identify these flowers which grow on tall plants with large pointed leaves and bloom from mid- August until the first frost in October. The plant is called Helianthus Tuberosus commonly known as Jerusalem Artichoke

I have my father to thank for my lifelong interest in photography. Even today the smell of 'hypo' brings me back to our basement darkroom. My artistic side comes from my mother who always carried a sketch pad where ever she went. Several years after college we were experiencing a recession and I went back to school for a two year photography program, but shortly thereafter life's circumstances sent me in other directions. Only in the last few years, but now in the digital age, have I renewed my passion for the medium.
